Mapiex began operation in 1981 as a company which main activity was the import and sales of aeronautical part and accessories for the local market.

In 1985 Mapiex started the charter flights activity domestic and international using twin-engine aircraft to transport passenger, cargo and mail.

At the beginning of 1999, Mapiex International inaugurates its installation at the new Airport Marcos A. Gelabert in Albrook Field , offering its services to the general aviation, flight dispatch, fuel and lubricant sales, airplane maintenance, charter flights.
